LONGi has announced a global partnership with German football club FC Bayern Munich, bringing together the solar technology company and the Bundesliga club as part of a collaboration focused on sustainability, renewable energy and global fan engagement.
The partnership was announced at a launch ceremony held at Rosewood Hong Kong, attended by LONGi Chairman and General Manager Zhong Baoshen, LONGi Vice President and President of the PV Product Management Center Charles Jiang, FC Bayern Board Member for Marketing & Sales Rouven Kasper, and former FC Bayern player Roy Makaay.
Under the partnership, LONGi and FC Bayern will use the theme “POWER ON, GAME ON” across joint campaigns, content and fan engagement initiatives. Further details on specific joint activities and fan-facing initiatives are expected to be announced by the partners.
The collaboration also includes potential opportunities to deploy LONGi’s solar solutions as part of FC Bayern’s sustainability initiatives, including possible applications across the club’s training facilities and stadium infrastructure.
LONGi said the partnership forms part of its broader global sports engagement strategy and follows its partnership with the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON 2026.
Zhong Baoshen, Chairman and General Manager of LONGi, said the partnership reflects shared goals around continuous improvement and sustainability, while Rouven Kasper, Board Member for Marketing & Sales at FC Bayern, said the collaboration would support efforts to promote renewable energy and sustainability.
The partnership combines LONGi’s solar technology portfolio, which covers utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and residential applications, with FC Bayern’s global sporting presence. The companies said they will explore further opportunities to connect renewable energy solutions with the club’s sustainability initiatives.
