Luminous Power Launches ‘SPRING’ To Drive Sustainable And Empowered India

Luminous Power Technologies has announced the launch of its new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) identity, called Spring. This initiative represents a new phase in the company’s commitment to inclusive growth and sustainability, consolidating its long-standing CSR activities under one unified brand philosophy. The approach is built around three pillars: Electrification through Solar, Education and Employment, and Environment. Over the years, Luminous has undertaken several programs to improve lives across India, reaching more than 1.88 lakh people in 13 states.

Its Luminous Advanced Mentoring Program (LAMP) has guided 1,590 scholars, while over 900 young people from marginalized communities have been certified in solar PV installation, helping them secure employment opportunities. On the environmental front, Project L.I.F.E. has seen the plantation of more than 22,000 trees, underscoring the company’s dedication to ecological preservation and energy literacy.

The company also continues to champion women’s empowerment in the energy sector through its #WomenInEnergy initiative, which has earned industry-wide recognition for encouraging women to take up roles in solar technology and line engineering. In collaboration with the Royal Rajasthan Foundation, Luminous is advancing the Pink Promise initiative, aimed at equipping women with solar skills, financial independence, and digital literacy.

Neelima Burra, Chief Strategy Transformation and Marketing Officer at Luminous Power Technologies, emphasized that the new identity reflects the company’s broader purpose. She noted that Luminous has always gone beyond providing power solutions, aiming instead to create transformative energy that fosters growth. With Spring, the company is formally linking its business goals with its social mission, reinforcing its vision of a sustainable and empowered India.

The name Spring carries symbolic meaning, inspired by themes of light, growth, and renewal. It reflects the positive change Luminous aims to bring to communities by lighting homes with clean solar energy, opening opportunities through education and skill development, and safeguarding the environment for future generations. Shikha Gupta, CHRO of Luminous Power Technologies, explained that the company’s people-first approach is central to Spring. She said that through the three pillars — Electrification, Education and Employment, and Environment—Luminous strives to nurture individuals, foster learning, and protect natural resources, ensuring its impact is both lasting and meaningful.

With Spring, Luminous Power Technologies is reaffirming its commitment to responsible business practices and inclusive growth. By aligning its CSR efforts with its business purpose, the company seeks to drive long-term social and environmental progress while contributing to India’s vision of a brighter, sustainable future.
