UK-based helium exploration company Mendell Helium has effectively started helium production in Fort Dodge, Kansas, through a company it has an option to buy.
The production is at M3 Helium Corporation’s Rost 1-26 well. M3 Helium is a helium exploration company based in Kansas.
In June 2024, Mendell Helium announced it had the option to buy M3 Helium, which has interests in six active wells in Kansas.
There is no guarantee the deal will go ahead. In September, both companies agreed to extend the option deadline to the end of November.
