NextEnergy Capital has welcomed the UK Government’s 2025 Solar Roadmap, which sets out a clear plan to triple solar deployment from over 18GW today to 45–47GW by 2030.
The Roadmap signals the Government’s continued commitment to solar energy as part of its drive toward a clean power system by 2030. Ross Grier, Chief Investment Officer at NextEnergy Capital, contributed to its development through his role in the UK Solar Taskforce. The company also provided real-world case studies highlighting the broader social benefits of solar—from education to local communities.
Developed in collaboration with industry leaders, the Solar Roadmap outlines practical actions for both Government and industry to overcome barriers to rapid solar growth. It supports the Government’s Clean Power Action Plan, while strengthening the UK’s energy security.
