Industrial gas specialist Nippon Sanso Matheson has appointed Alan Draper as CEO to advance long-term growth across its US-based business.
Draper moves from Nippon Sanso Holdings, the parent company of Nippon Sanso Matheson, where he served as Senior Executive Officer and CFO, and previously held positions at Praxair.
Leading the US arm, Draper will focus on strengthening safety, reliability, and operational execution, alongside advancing long-term growth to support the electronic, industrial, medical, and specialty gas markets.
Toshihiko Hamada, President and CEO of Nippon Sanso Holdings, said, the leadership transition will allow the US business to fully benefit from Nippon Sanso’s worldwide capabilities.
“Alan brings a clear strategic vision and a strong leadership mindset rooted in deep industrial gas experience,” he added.
Draper assumed the role on 1 April.
Nippon Sanso Matheson has 300 locations across the US and over 40 air separation units (ASU).
In , Nippon Sanso began unifying its US (Matheson) and Japan (Taiyo Nippon Sanso) brands under the single global name ‘Nippon Sanso’.
Nippon Sanso Holdings is the world’s fourth-largest supplier of industrial, electronic, and medical gases, with operations in over 30 countries across Japan, the US, Europe, and Asia and Oceania.
