Industrial gas major Nippon Sanso Matheson plans to build a $5.4m office and production facility in San Antonio, Texas, according to a filling with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Construction on the plant is scheduled to start 1 August 2026, with completion expected on 1 August 2027.
The project is a privately funded, new construction on private land.
According to gasworld Intelligence, Nippon Sanso Matheson already operates an air separation unit (ASU) in San Antonio, with a capacity of around 500 tonnes per day.
In wider Texas, gasworld Intelligence believes Nippon Sanso Matheson to have 11 industrial gas plants.
The news follows Nippon Sanso Matheson starting up an ASU in last month.
That plant produced nitrogen, oxygen, and argon for various industries, including aerospace electronics, and advanced manufacturing.
