NTPC Green Energy Commissions Final Phase of 105 MW Shajapur Solar Project

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NTPCGREEN) has announced the successful commissioning of the second and final phase of its 105 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-1) in Madhya Pradesh. The last part, with a capacity of 50 MW, was declared commercially operational from 00:00 hours on March 13, 2025.

The project, developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, is situated in Shajapur Solar Park. The first phase, comprising 55 MW, was commissioned earlier on November 29, 2024.

With this latest milestone, the entire 105 MW capacity is now fully operational, contributing to NTPC Green Energy’s renewable energy portfolio. The project aligns with NTPC’s strategic focus on expanding clean energy capacity and supporting India’s commitment to sustainable energy transition.

NTPC Green Energy, a key player in India’s renewable energy sector, continues to enhance its solar power generation capabilities through large-scale projects across the country. The commissioning of the Shajapur Solar Project further strengthens its commitment to achieving national renewable energy targets and reinforcing India’s position in the global clean energy landscape.
