Oman and South Korea Strengthen Energy Cooperation, Push Forward Green Hydrogen Projects in Line with Vision 2040 and Net-Zero 2050 Goals

His Excellency Mohsen bin Hamad Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, held discussions in Seoul with senior South Korean officials to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector and advance green hydrogen initiatives.

During the meetings, Al Hadhrami met with His Excellency Lee Ho-hyun, Second Assistant Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, and His Excellency Kang Kyung-sung, CEO of the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration and promoting the third round of green hydrogen projects, aligning with Oman’s Vision 2040 and its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

The talks were attended by His Excellency Zakaria bin Hamad Al Saadi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to South Korea, and Eng. Abdulaziz bin Saeed Al Shidhani, General Manager of Hydrogen Oman Company (Hydrome).
