Oriana Power Limited has announced a major step in expanding its international operations after receiving a Letter of Award for a significant solar energy project in Guyana. The project involves the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a 3.0 MW (AC) grid-tied solar photovoltaic system at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Timehri, one of the region’s key hubs. This contract, awarded by the Guyana Energy Agency, marks Oriana Power’s first major international project in this region and is expected to strengthen the company’s presence outside its domestic market, reinforcing its global footprint in renewable energy.

The total value of the contract is US$2,487,170, reflecting the comprehensive scope of work required to deliver the 3.0 MW solar capacity. The project will be executed over a period of thirty-six months from the date the Letter of Award was received. This timeline sets clear expectations for the complete delivery of the solar power solution, from initial design to final commissioning, ensuring that the system meets international standards and provides a reliable renewable energy source.

Oriana Power formally informed the National Stock Exchange of India about this development in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The notification clarified that the contract was awarded by the Guyana Energy Agency and is classified as an international order. The company also confirmed that neither the promoters nor any related group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the contract, and the transaction is not a related party transaction, ensuring that it was executed at arm’s length.

This project aligns with Oriana Power’s long-term strategy of promoting sustainable and efficient power generation through solar technology. By successfully entering the Guyana market, the company not only contributes to global renewable energy goals but also opens new opportunities for growth and expansion in international markets. The project at Cheddi Jagan International Airport is expected to serve as a benchmark for future overseas ventures, demonstrating Oriana Power’s expertise in delivering technologically advanced and sustainable energy solutions.
