Pivot Energy Supports Communities With $400,000 In Donations During 2024, Promoting Social Impact & Equity In Energy

Pivot Energy, a Denver-based leader in renewable energy, has achieved another major milestone in giving back to the communities it serves. In 2024, Pivot donated $370,000 to 22 community organizations across three states. These groups focus on helping low-income families with energy bills, creating career opportunities in renewable energy, and promoting land stewardship and rural economic development. This brings Pivot’s total community contributions to $1.2 million. These efforts showcase Pivot’s strong commitment to driving positive social and environmental change through its solar projects.

By partnering with local organizations, Pivot aims to make a lasting impact on the communities where its projects operate. Beyond donations, Pivot’s renewable energy projects also generate significant economic benefits. They create jobs, provide payments to landowners, and deliver long-term tax revenue to local governments. This funding supports essential services like schools, public safety, roads, and other critical infrastructure, contributing to the overall growth and development of these communities.

We greatly value Pivot as an industry partner in making a stronger workforce for Weld County,” mentioned Jeff Carlson, Chief Executive Officer for Bright Futures.

Pivot Energy’s community investment efforts not only create meaningful benefits for local communities but also resonate with its clients by combining renewable energy procurement with social impact. As a leader in integrating social initiatives with renewable energy solutions, Pivot collaborates with corporate partners to fund many of its contributions, further amplifying its positive impact.

In 2024, Pivot donated to organizations across Colorado, Illinois, and Maryland, focusing on workforce development, reducing energy costs for low-income families, and strengthening rural economies. Nearly $200,000 was directed to Colorado organizations, including Morgan County Family Center, Energy Outreach Colorado, Weld 4-H Foundation, Weld County Fair, Solar Energy International, and Bright Futures.

Around $105,000 supported Illinois groups such as Embarras River Basin Agency, HIRE360, and Illinois Central College. Maryland organizations received approximately $70,000, benefiting initiatives led by Garrett County Community Action Committee, Habitat for Humanity Garrett County, House of Hope, Fuel Fund of Maryland, Community Action Council of Howard County, Melwood Horticultural Training Center, Promise Landing Farm, and Power52.

“Pivot’s support will help us advance workforce pathways into the solar industry, focusing on transitioning workers from fossil fuel trades and empowering underrepresented groups like minorities and women,” commented Jay Rowell, Executive Director of HIRE360.

Chris Mullett, President and CEO of Garrett County Community Action Committee, stated “We are thrilled that Pivot Energy has made a generous contribution to support our pre-apprenticeship programs to provide energy assistance to our clients in need throughout Garrett County, Maryland. This assistance will not only provide immediate relief but also contribute to the overall well-being and stability of our community.”

These contributions reflect Pivot Energy’s unwavering commitment to fostering social and economic growth while advancing its renewable energy mission. By aligning community investment with its services, Pivot is creating lasting change in the regions it serves.
