PureSky Energy has announced that its latest community solar farm, Clover Meadow Solar, located near Claverack, New York, is now fully operational. This 7.3 MWdc project is delivering clean and affordable electricity specifically to Low- to Moderate-Income (LMI) households as part of New York State’s Expanded Solar for All (ESFA) program. The initiative is designed to ensure that the environmental and financial benefits of solar energy reach communities that are often underserved.
Clover Meadow Solar reflects PureSky’s commitment to making renewable energy more inclusive and accessible, especially for income-qualified residents who typically face greater obstacles in accessing clean energy savings. The project was developed by Eden Renewables, a Troy-based company, and marks the seventh collaboration between Eden and PureSky.
The solar farm features 13,338 high-efficiency solar panels and has a total generation capacity of 7,269 kWDC. It is expected to produce about 10.3 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity annually enough to power approximately 1,417 homes each year. Over its lifespan, the project is estimated to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 14.9 million pounds and provide around $3.4 million in total electricity bill savings for enrolled customers.

Clover Meadow is a 100% LMI-focused project, meaning all participating households will benefit from guaranteed savings on their electricity bills, with no rooftop installation or upfront payments required. This approach highlights the growing impact of community solar in reducing energy costs for residents in rural and underserved areas.
In addition to delivering savings for households, the project also contributes to the local economy by generating new tax revenue and supporting clean energy job creation in the Claverack area. The solar farm is designed to be environmentally friendly, featuring a pollinator-supportive landscape, and includes Eden’s signature education initiative to engage the community. Clover Meadow Solar not only supports New York’s renewable energy goals but also strengthens local communities by creating more resilient and equitable energy systems.
