RWE Extends CEO Markus Krebber’s Contract Through 2031

RWE AG’s Supervisory Board has approved an early extension of Dr. Markus Krebber’s contract as CEO, securing his leadership through June 2031. Dr. Krebber, who joined the RWE Group in 2012 and became a member of the Executive Board in 2016, has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2021. Dr Frank Appel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RWE AG: “The Supervisory Board is looking forward to continuing its successful collaboration with Markus Krebber. With him as CEO, the company has an outstanding leader at its helm. He has resolutely positioned RWE for the future energy landscape. Thanks to its broad technological and regional scope, the Group is now ideally placed to capitalise on the growth resulting from rising electricity demand and electrification. Markus Krebber has steered RWE through times of geopolitical turmoil with a steady hand and contributed significantly to overcoming the energy crisis. Under the leadership of Markus Krebber, RWE will continue to drive the energy transition forward with determination in the years ahead.”
