Servotech Renewable Power System Wins ₹73.70 Crore NREDCAP Rooftop Solar Project To Install Systems For 5,886 SC/ST Homes In Andhra Pradesh Under PM Surya Ghar Scheme

Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., a prominent leader in India’s clean energy manufacturing sector, has secured a ₹73.70 crore grid-connected rooftop solar project from the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd. (NREDCAP), under the Energy Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Awarded as part of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, this project marks a significant milestone in expanding renewable energy access across the Kavali division. By enabling solar adoption in underserved regions, the initiative reinforces national efforts to democratize clean energy and improve household-level power independence.

Under the project scope, Servotech Renewable will be responsible for the complete Design, Engineering, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of rooftop solar systems of varying capacities for 5,886 Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) households. The implementation will follow a Utility-Led Aggregation (CAPEX) model and includes five years of comprehensive Operation and Maintenance services. This integrated approach ensures that the beneficiaries not only gain access to solar power but also receive long-term support to maintain system performance and reliability.

The initiative is expected to deliver affordable, uninterrupted, and clean electricity to thousands of households, significantly contributing to Andhra Pradesh’s renewable energy goals. By reducing dependence on conventional power sources and lowering electricity expenditure, the project supports socio-economic upliftment while promoting sustainable development at the grassroots level. It also positions Andhra Pradesh as a proactive state in accelerating distributed solar deployment under national clean energy schemes.

Sarika Bhatia, Whole-Time Director at Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., expressed pride and optimism regarding the new order. She emphasized that partnering with NREDCAP to bring solar energy directly to thousands of community members aligns perfectly with the company’s mission of expanding inclusive clean energy access. She noted that the project showcases Servotech’s capability to manage large-scale distributed solar installations with precision, quality, and technical excellence. Bhatia reaffirmed the company’s commitment to empowering local communities and contributing to India’s advancement toward a sustainable and energy-secure future.
