Solar Week Kuwait 2025 Concludes Successfully, Advancing National Solar Ambitions and Clean Energy Partnerships

Solar Week Kuwait 2025, held at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel in Mahboula, concluded with resounding success, reinforcing the nation’s growing leadership in solar and clean energy transformation. As Kuwait aligns its energy landscape with Vision 2035, this high-level gathering brought together key government figures, industry leaders, innovators, and financiers to catalyze action on solar deployment and sustainability.

With a sharp focus on scaling utility-scale solar, expanding clean energy adoption in commercial and industrial sectors, and integrating advanced storage solutions for grid stability, the event served as a powerful platform for knowledge exchange, opportunity mapping, and policy alignment.

The conference spotlighted Kuwait’s flagship renewable initiatives—including the Shagaya Renewable Energy Complex—and explored the country’s roadmap to achieving 15% renewable energy by 2030. Critical conversations addressed how land availability, energy storage technologies like BESS, and hybrid energy systems can accelerate deployment and improve grid resilience.

The presence of Chief Guest Mr. Hashim Akbar, Electrical Engineer at the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, and Guest of Honour Mr. Salem Alajmi, Former Consultant to the H.E. Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, signified strong institutional backing and commitment to Kuwait’s clean energy goals.
