Solplanet Webinar Highlights Thailand’s Expanding Opportunities in Solar and Energy Storage

Solplanet successfully hosted its exclusive webinar, “Powering Thailand’s Clean Energy Future: Trends in Residential, Commercial & Industrial Solar and Energy Storage,” bringing together leading industry experts to discuss the accelerating adoption of solar energy and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Thailand.

The webinar served as an important knowledge-sharing platform for EPCs, project developers, installers, distributors, investors, utilities, commercial and industrial (C&I) energy consumers, and other stakeholders seeking to understand the evolving dynamics of Thailand’s renewable energy market. The event explored the latest market trends, technology innovations, policy developments, and business opportunities driving the country’s next phase of clean energy growth.

The session opened with an insightful presentation on Thailand’s Solar Market Outlook, highlighting the increasing demand for rooftop solar, the rapid growth of the commercial and industrial segment, evolving grid readiness, and emerging opportunities across the country’s clean energy value chain.

Participants also gained valuable insights during Solplanet’s partner presentation, “Solplanet for Thailand: Smart Inverters, Hybrid Systems and Local Support for Rooftop Solar Growth,” presented by Mr. Thanthai Udcharchon, Sales Manager, Solplanet. The session showcased Solplanet’s intelligent solar inverters, hybrid systems, energy management capabilities, and localized support, demonstrating how integrated solar and storage solutions are helping customers maximize energy efficiency, reliability, and long-term energy independence.

One of the key highlights of the webinar was the leadership panel discussion, “Thailand’s Next Solar Wave – Residential Adoption, C&I Expansion and Storage Integration,” featuring distinguished industry leaders:

  • Mr. Khomson Khenyotha, Thailand Managing Director / Regional New Business Development, Peak Energy
  • Mr. Simon Sun, Senior Sales Director – Southeast Asia, Solplanet
  • Mr. Chanes Lakphanphakdee, Strategic Marketing Manager, GreenYellow (Thailand)
  • Mr. Pisal Yooyanyong, Deputy CEO – Southeast Asia, CleanMax
  • Mr. Jakkit Sivapornsatian, Associate Director & Head of Business Development, Altervim

The discussion was expertly moderated by Mr. Pasamon Pechrasuwan, Associate Director & Associate Fellow, Frost & Sullivan.

The panel explored the growing momentum behind residential and commercial solar adoption, the increasing importance of battery energy storage, changing customer expectations, policy and regulatory developments, financing models, and the technologies enabling Thailand’s transition toward a more decentralized and resilient energy ecosystem.

Throughout the webinar, speakers emphasized that Thailand is entering a pivotal phase of its clean energy transition. Rising electricity demand, increasing energy costs, supportive government initiatives, and growing interest in energy independence are accelerating investments in solar and energy storage solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. The discussions reinforced the critical role of intelligent energy technologies, hybrid systems, and collaborative industry efforts in supporting the country’s long-term sustainability and energy security goals.

The interactive Q&A session provided attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with industry experts, discussing practical implementation strategies, market challenges, technology adoption, and future business opportunities within Thailand’s rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape.

By bringing together technology providers, market experts, and clean energy stakeholders, the webinar reinforced Solplanet’s commitment to supporting Thailand’s renewable energy ecosystem through innovative, reliable, and intelligent solar and energy storage solutions.
