Sungrow has joined forces with MTR Solar, Risen, and VGR Energy to advance clean energy innovation in Latin America through the donation of a solar power plant to Unicamp (State University of Campinas), one of the region’s most prestigious teaching and research institutions.

As part of the project, Sungrow contributed its high-performance 20 kW PV inverter. The system will function as a living laboratory for applied research, innovation, and technical training, giving professors, researchers, and students the opportunity to conduct experimental studies on operational, environmental, and technical factors that influence solar system performance and durability.

“This project reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability, innovation, and talent development in Brazil,” said Rafael Ribeiro, Country Manager of Sungrow Brazil. “By supporting academic research and clean energy education, we’re not only strengthening Brazil’s solar ecosystem but also laying the groundwork for a more sustainable future.” With a solid local presence and trusted partnerships, the company continues to support the country’s energy transition.
