In a significant move toward sustainable development, Taiwan-based ShinFox Energy and Philippine telecom firm ComClark Network and Technology Corp. have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to collaborate on renewable energy initiatives in the Philippines.

The agreement, formalized during a recent signing ceremony, marks a strategic alliance aimed at powering the country’s growing ICT infrastructure with clean energy solutions. The partnership underscores the increasing integration of telecommunications and renewable energy, a critical step in building a resilient, future-ready digital economy.

ShinFox Energy General Manager Hui-Sen Hu and ComClark CEO Dennis Anthony Uy signed the agreement in the presence of Philippine Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil and Anthony B. Rivera, Commercial Counselor of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Taipei.

“Energy is just the starting point,” said Wazcher CEO Feng Chiu in a social media post announcing the collaboration, signaling broader ambitions for sustainable digital infrastructure.

ShinFox Energy, a subsidiary of the Foxlink Group, brings its expertise in solar, wind, and energy storage solutions. ComClark, a major player in the Philippines’ telecom sector, operates a nationwide fiber network and cable TV services under the Converge ICT brand.

This collaboration is expected to lay the groundwork for green-powered connectivity and digital transformation in the region.
