Tech and health in the spotlight on World Mental Health Day

Today’s World Mental Health Day serves as a reminder for employers and employees to prioritise well-being in a digital-oriented and increasingly physically disconnected world.

The online age offers enormous opportunities for learning, communication, and creativity but it also brings new risks that can undermine confidence and self-worth.

Technology’s relationship with workplace mental health is a dual-edged sword, offering benefits such as enhanced communication and accessibility to care, but also posing risks such as increased stress, burnout, and blurring of work-life boundaries.

This year shines the spotlight on the interplay between physical and mental health, particularly at times of catastrophes and emergencies – an area where industrial gas firms play a vital but often overlooked role.
