Constant Energy, a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions under the Virya Energy portfolio, and Pakfood Public Company Limited, a key subsidiary of Thai Union Group PCL, have inaugurated a 999 kWp solar rooftop plant in Khok Kham Sub-district, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province. The project marks a major milestone in Thai Union’s commitment to its SeaChange® sustainability strategy, which prioritizes environmental leadership and low-carbon growth.

The newly operational solar rooftop system is expected to generate around 1.5 GWh of clean electricity annually, significantly reducing Pakfood’s carbon footprint. Over its lifetime, the project is projected to deliver electricity cost savings of approximately 54 million THB, improving operational efficiency and allowing reinvestment into sustainable growth initiatives.

This collaboration reinforces Thai Union’s conviction that responsible energy management is integral to long-term business success and corporate responsibility. By adopting renewable energy solutions, the company is advancing its goal of reducing environmental impact while setting an industry benchmark for transparency and accountability under the SeaChange® framework.

“This partnership with a renowned quality seafood exporter like Pakfood and Thai Union represents exactly the kind of transformational project we’re driving across Asia.”, said Oscar Loza, Country Manager Vietnam & Regional Head of Business Development of Constant Energy. “With Virya Energy’s backing, we can guarantee performance and reliability at scale, ensuring we have the staying power and technical depth to be a long-term partner to companies like Thai Union throughout the region.”
