Three Weeks to Go: Namibia’s Solar & Storage Business Leaders Prepare to Meet in Windhoek

Solar & Storage Leadership Forum Namibia 2026 brings industry voices together for focused dialogues on growth, investment and business opportunity on 30 October.

With just over three weeks remaining, the countdown is on to the Solar & Storage Leadership Forum Namibia 2026, taking place on 30 October 2026 in Windhoek. Organised by FirstVIEW and powered by SolarQuarter and Energy Storage Pro, the event will bring together perspectives from business, finance, technology, education and industry development for a focused Business Leaders Meet.

The forum centres on a pressing industry question: How can Namibia translate its solar and energy storage ambitions into successful projects, stronger businesses and lasting economic value? Through two Executive Leaders Dialogues and opportunities for direct interaction, participants will explore the priorities, partnerships and investment approaches that can help move the sector forward.

With the event approaching, the current speaker line-up sets the stage for conversations connecting strategic direction with practical business experience.

Setting the Priorities for Industry Growth

The first session, “Namibia’s Solar & Energy Storage Future: Strategic Priorities for Growth,” will focus on the foundations needed to support the sector’s development.

Moderated by Helvi Ileka, Centre Head: Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency at the Namibia Energy Institute, NUST, the dialogue will feature:

  • Ndakolute S. Abraham, Deputy Director, Technical Vocational Education and Training, Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture.
  • Johan Bekker, Director, Africa Power & Light.
  • Harald Schütt, Country Manager, GreenGo Energy Group.
  • Innocent Haingura, Senior Technical Advisor: Climate Change and Natural Resources, GIZ Namibia.
  • Valentine-Gratia Shaanika, Energy Compliance Officer, Millennium Investment Group (Namibia).

Together, these perspectives will connect the growth conversation with the skills, technical expertise, business planning and institutional coordination needed to support industry progress.

Connecting Investment with Opportunity

The second dialogue, “Powering Namibia’s Solar & Storage Future: Investment, Scale & Opportunity,” will turn the focus towards the commercial conditions needed to advance clean-energy development.

Moderated by David Jarrett, Consultant – Energy (PESD5), African Development Bank Group, the session will feature:

  • Simon Jason, Chairperson, Omaruru Erongo Region, Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI).
  • Tuwullika Johannes, Vice Chairperson, Renewable Energy Industry Association of Namibia (REIAoN).
  • Lukas Nakatana, Executive Chairman, Helium Energy.
  • Gerson Hakey Nasau, Co-Founder, Kaoko Green Energy Solutions (Pty) Ltd.
  • Edith Nghitukwa, Group Financial Manager, Alpha Namibia Industries Renewable Energy Power Limited (ANIREP).

The dialogue will bring finance, enterprise and industry perspectives into the same conversation, examining how investment and collaboration can support scale and unlock business opportunities.

A Business Leaders Meet Built Around Meaningful Connections

Industry growth depends on the ability to connect expertise, capital and delivery capabilities. The forum’s focused format provides an opportunity for participants to meet relevant peers, exchange practical insights and explore where their organisations can work together.

For developers and technology providers, it offers a setting to discuss market needs and potential partnerships. For investors and business leaders, it creates space to understand different industry perspectives and engage directly with professionals working across the sector.

These connections can help participants identify shared challenges, assess opportunities and establish relationships that continue beyond the event.

The Countdown Is On

With 30 October drawing closer, the Solar & Storage Leadership Forum Namibia 2026 invites the industry to make time for the conversations that can inform its next decisions.

Three weeks to go. Two focused leadership dialogues. A day to connect, exchange ideas and explore what comes next for Namibia’s solar and storage sector.
