Tigo Energy Brings Cutting-Edge 800W TS4-X MLPE To KEY 2025 For Commercial & Industrial Solar

Tigo Energy, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent solar and energy software solutions, will showcase its latest innovations for residential, commercial, and industrial solar installers at KEY – The Energy Transition Expo in Rimini, Italy, from March 5 to 7, 2025. At the event, Tigo will present the TS4-X, its latest generation of module-level power electronics (MLPE) designed for compatibility with the highest-power photovoltaic (PV) modules, including next-generation bifacial models. The company will also demonstrate new time-saving enhancements to the system commissioning process for the EI Residential solution and provide localized training content through the Tigo Academy platform.

Tigo’s EI Residential platform is an integrated energy storage solution that optimizes solar energy production while offering flexible energy management through modular storage. This all-in-one system also includes an e-mobility solution and allows advanced monitoring via the Energy Intelligence software platform. With this technology, installers and system owners can access a comprehensive view of system performance and manage energy consumption efficiently from a smartphone.

As Italy nears the milestone of two million installed and grid-connected photovoltaic systems, Tigo’s advancements in installation speed and solar performance will play a significant role in shaping the country’s energy future. Tigo’s optimization technology has already contributed to an average of more than seven percent reclaimed energy across monitored systems, with some installations achieving up to 40 percent.

To help reduce the levelized cost of energy (LCOE), the TS4-X product line provides installers with greater flexibility in deploying high-performance modules while reducing labor costs through its no-bolt design and elimination of additional ground wiring. The product line includes the TS4-X-O with optimization, advanced module-level monitoring, and rapid shutdown; the TS4-X-S with advanced monitoring and rapid shutdown; and the TS4-X-F, which offers rapid shutdown only. All models feature a 25A Isc rating, an 80V maximum input voltage, and plug-and-play support for solar modules up to 800W.

The TS4-X series also introduces the industry’s first field-upgradable monitoring capability without requiring hardware replacement. Integrated over-current and over-temperature protection further enhance safety, while the Multi-Factor Rapid Shutdown (MFRS) feature, supporting both wired PLC and wireless connections, provides redundant safety measures for first responders in critical energy applications.

Bruno Bombardieri, managing director of Biotech Energy, a Tigo-certified installer in Italy, said in a statement, “With Tigo EI Residential, we have found the perfect balance between installation simplicity and system versatility, allowing us to offer our customers a solution that is not only efficient but also truly adapts to their evolving energy needs. The real game-changer is the Energy Intelligence software: on the one hand, it allows us to intuitively monitor and manage systems remotely, reducing on-site interventions and improving service efficiency; on the other hand, it gives homeowners unprecedented control over their energy. Thanks to Tigo, our customers’ systems produce an average of 15% Reclaimed Energy via optimization, which truly is a financial differentiator for system owners.”

Mirko Bindi, Senior VP of Sales EMEA & MD Europe at Tigo Energy, stated “Innovation in PV solar means providing installers the tools to reduce operational costs and maximize energy yield, and with the TS4-X, Tigo has further solidified its pioneering role by anticipating market needs with versatile solutions. Tigo has always led innovation in MLPE, developing solutions that address today’s challenges while preparing the market for those of tomorrow. The TS4-X product line is a perfect example of this vision: a solution that can be universally adopted thanks to its broad compatibility with practically any module and thousands of inverters, providing installers and system owners smart features that enhance performance and simplify management.”

To support its installers, Tigo will introduce Italian-language updates to its Tigo Academy platform, an on-demand training resource designed to equip European PV professionals with the skills needed for optimal installation of Tigo solutions. The training program is also the first step toward becoming Tigo Certified and joining the Tigo Certified Installer Program, which already includes more than 50 solar professionals across Europe.

Qualified installers attending KEY 2025 will also have the opportunity to win exclusive prizes for the fastest training completion times. By continuing to innovate and support the solar industry, Tigo Energy is reinforcing its commitment to making solar installations more efficient, cost-effective, and accessible to professionals and system owners worldwide.
