He emphasized the nation’s significant capacity estimated at 17 GW with over 2,944 km² of usable water surfaces across reservoirs and hydro dams. With Malaysia targeting 31% renewable energy by 2025 and aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050, floating solar emerges as a highly viable solution for maximizing underutilized water resources and accelerating decarbonization.
