Treaty Oak Clean Energy Begins Construction On 385 MW Beekman And Hollis Creek Solar Projects In Louisiana

Treaty Oak Clean Energy, LLC, a US independent power producer, announced that it has closed financing and begun construction on two major solar projects in Louisiana: the Beekman Solar Project in Morehouse Parish and the Hollis Creek Solar Project in Sabine Parish. Together, the projects will add 385 MW of new renewable capacity to the state. Chris Elrod, CEO of Treaty Oak, said that closing financing for these projects during a challenging economic year highlights the company’s strong business model and its commitment to advancing energy independence in states like Louisiana. He expressed gratitude to the teams, financing partners, suppliers, and vendors for their collaboration and emphasized Treaty Oak’s dedication to building a U.S.-based supply chain.

The Beekman Solar Project closed financing on November 20, 2025, while the Hollis Creek Solar Project finalized its financing on December 19, 2025. Both projects will supply solar energy to Meta Platforms, Inc. through recently announced long-term offtake agreements, marking another significant step in Treaty Oak’s mission to expand clean energy infrastructure and support local communities. Paul Jun, Group Head of Power & New Energies North America at SMBC, noted the bank’s commitment to global energy infrastructure and its pride in leading the financing for Treaty Oak’s growth as a leading U.S. renewable power producer.

The Beekman Solar Project has secured $410 million in non-recourse senior secured credit facilities, including a construction-to-term loan, a tax credit bridge loan, and letter of credit facilities. Coordinating lead arrangers include SMBC, ING Capital, Crédit Agricole CIB, MUFG, and National Australia Bank, each serving as bookrunner, green loan coordinator, and hedge provider. Treaty Oak was advised by Latham & Watkins LLP, with lenders represented by Paul Hastings LLP. Construction will be carried out by Blattner Energy for PV installation and Dashiell for high-voltage work, with modules supplied by First Solar and advanced tracker technology provided by Nextpower. Elrod highlighted that the partnership with First Solar reflects the company’s commitment to a U.S.-based supply chain and advancing the production of domestic solar modules.

The Hollis Creek Solar Project has secured $399 million in non-recourse senior secured credit facilities, structured similarly to Beekman’s financing. Coordinating lead arrangers include the same group of banks, with Treaty Oak and lenders advised by the same legal teams. Primoris Renewable Energy, part of Primoris Services Corporation, will handle the photovoltaic construction, while Beta Engineering will manage high-voltage installations. The project will also utilize advanced tracker technology from Nextpower.

Both projects are expected to reach commercial operation in the first half of 2027. Combined, Beekman and Hollis Creek will generate enough clean electricity to power roughly 80,000 homes, create approximately 300 jobs during peak construction, and contribute more than $100 million in state and local tax revenue over their lifetimes. Treaty Oak Clean Energy remains committed to delivering projects that support energy independence, strengthen local communities, and provide long-term benefits to stakeholders.
