Trina Solar and Infinity Partner on Operation & Maintenance of Landmark 300 MWh Battery Storage Project in Egypt

Aswan, Egypt – Trina Solar, a global leader in smart solar solutions, is proud to announce the signing of a landmark agreement with Infinity for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of a 300 MWh battery energy storage project located in Abydos, Aswan.

The agreement was formally signed by Ashraf El Bishry, General Manager of Infinity, and Ahmed El Mesallamy, Regional Manager – Middle East & Africa at Trina Solar, during a ceremony that celebrated this strategic collaboration.

As one of the world’s leading solar PV module manufacturers and battery storage providers, Trina Solar brings extensive technical expertise and global experience to this partnership. Under the terms of the agreement, Infinity will undertake full responsibility for the O&M of the storage facility—ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the system in support of Egypt’s energy transition goals.

“This collaboration with Infinity underscores our shared commitment to building a robust and sustainable energy infrastructure in Egypt,” said Ahmed El Mesallamy. “Our combined capabilities will ensure the long-term success of this project and contribute meaningfully to the country’s renewable energy targets.”

Infinity’s deep-rooted presence in the region and proven track record in O&M operations position it as a key partner in managing this vital energy asset. The battery storage facility in Abydos will play a critical role in enhancing grid stability and energy resilience in southern Egypt, supporting the broader integration of renewable energy resources.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing Egypt’s clean energy transition and highlights Trina Solar’s dedication to driving innovation and sustainability in emerging markets.
