Trinasolar participated in PV CellTech USA 2025 in San Francisco, where Product Manager Ethan Ely presented the company’s latest advancements in next-generation photovoltaic technologies, including TOPCon Ultra and perovskite/silicon tandem cells.

Ely highlighted Trinasolar’s ongoing R&D efforts focused on driving higher solar cell efficiency and reliability. He noted that while TOPCon remains the industry’s leading high-efficiency technology, it still offers strong potential for further performance improvements through continued innovation. The presentation drew significant interest from attendees, with discussions centered on the scalability and durability of perovskite + silicon tandem technology—an area of active research for Trinasolar.

Trinasolar’s leadership in tandem innovation was further underscored by its July 2025 achievement of five new world records in solar cell efficiency and power output. The company’s 3.1m² module, built with 210mm x 105mm perovskite/silicon tandem cells, achieved an independently certified output of 841W and 31% efficiency, setting new benchmarks for the global solar industry.
