Trinasolar US recently visited Eddie Bernice Johnson STEM Academy in Wilmer, Texas, to support the school’s STEM education efforts through a generous donation of nearly 700 books and over 1,000 headphones. The event was attended by Commissioner John Wiley Price (District 3) and Wilmer Mayor Sheila Petta, who praised Trinasolar’s commitment to empowering students and fostering community partnerships.
“The City of Wilmer appreciates the continued support Trinasolar US offers our city,” said Wilmer Mayor Sheila Petta. “The generous donation given Friday to the EBJ Stem Academy students not only helps our young residents in Wilmer, but the entire community as we work together to create partnerships that grow stronger to invest in Wilmer’s next generation.”
Dave Gustafson, General Manager of Trina Manufacturing, highlighted the company’s dedication to nurturing future STEM leaders, saying, “The Wilmer community has warmly welcomed us, and we’re thrilled to partner with local schools to advance education. The event included remarks from school officials and elected representatives, a presentation of the donated supplies, and a tour of the school. Trinasolar’s commitment to Wilmer extends beyond education, as its manufacturing facility will create over 1,300 local jobs, fostering economic growth and reinforcing its dedication to community building, sustainability, and meaningful collaboration.
