Two Halma group brands move under Salaera tech platform

Halma group brands Perma Pure and Maxtec now fall under a new parent company, Salaera, which aims to serve as a platform for industrial gas analysis, respiratory care and life sciences.

The platform draws on more than 50 years’ cross-sector engineering expertise and combines gas and oxygen delivery brands covering moisture-management and gas-conditioning systems, Nafion components, and oxygen-delivery devices.

The move reflects rising demand for ‘accurate, connected and data-rich systems’, according to a statement, with environmental and industrial markets facing continued regulatory and reporting demands, making gas analysis more critical.

Clinical devices require higher precision as hospitals adopt connected monitoring systems. Breath-based diagnostics are expanding as non-invasive source of biomarkers for respiratory disease, metabolic conditions and infectious pathogens.
