Carbon capture company The Carbon Removers has secured support of nearly £1m from South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE) – the Scottish Government’s dedicated economic and community development agency.
The investment allows the company to launch a fundraising drive to advance expansion of the business across the UK and Europe.
Founded by brothers Ed and Richard Nimmons, the company captures CO2 from biogas and the whisky industry.
The company aims to generate annual revenue of £1bn by 2034/35 while scaling its CO2 removal operations to reach one million tonnes per year by 2030.
