US Energy Secretary Chris Wright extended a permit for a natural gas export project by Delfin LNG LLC.

The development off the coast of Louisiana will involve four vessels that’ll produce 13.3 million tons of LNG a year.

“We are unabashedly pursuing a policy of more American energy production and infrastructure, not less,” Wright said in remarks at the CERAWeek by S&P Global conference in Houston on Monday. “Our goal is to re-industrialize America, not de-industrialize America.”

Delfin, which is which is majority-owned by Fairwood Peninsula, Talisman Global Alternative Master LP and Talisman Global Capital Master LP, has begun construction on its floating LNG vessel and is seeking to reach an investment decision later this year, the Energy Department said. The department’s order extends the commencement date to June 1, 2029.
