Zelestra has completed the sale of its Latin America platform to Promigas in a transaction valued at approximately USD 1.1 billion, including project finance debt. The deal was initially announced in December 2025.
Under the agreement, Promigas has acquired Zelestra’s operations across Chile, Peru, and Colombia, covering a renewable energy portfolio of nearly 3,500 MW in operation, under construction, and under development.
Commenting on the transaction, Leo Moreno said the completion of the sale marks a significant milestone in Zelestra’s strategic transformation into a customer-focused, multi-technology renewable energy company centered on the European and U.S. markets.
He noted that the company sees strong growth opportunities in supporting clients’ energy transition goals, particularly in the rapidly expanding data center segment, where Zelestra continues to maintain a strong market position.
Moreno also acknowledged the contribution of the company’s Latin American teams, stating that they have built a strong foundation for the business and expressing confidence in the platform’s future growth under Promigas’ ownership.
Despite the divestment, Zelestra confirmed that its EPC division will continue operations in Peru and Chile, providing engineering, procurement, and construction services. This includes the ongoing delivery of the Babilonia solar project currently under construction in Arequipa, Peru.
