The Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for developing 26 MW of solar rooftop systems across the state. The initiative aims to standardize rates and select contractors under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode. The project will include both grid-connected and off-grid solar rooftop systems across multiple locations.

Interested contractors can bid for projects of varying capacities, categorized into four groups, ranging from 1 kW to 500 kW. The RFP outlines a comprehensive scope of work, including system design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and five years of comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M). Additionally, bidders are required to comply with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) and use domestically produced solar modules and components.

To participate, bidders are required to submit a Bid Security in the form of a Bank Guarantee, based on the project category. For instance, projects in Group A require INR 4.5 lakh as bid security, while Group D requires INR 40.5 lakh. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) registered in Madhya Pradesh are exempt from the initial bid security submission but must furnish it upon selection.

Key deadlines include the bid submission date on December 31, 2024, with the technical bid opening set for January 2, 2025. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 29, 2024. Contractors must meet stringent technical and financial eligibility criteria, and bids will undergo thorough technical and financial evaluations.

This initiative supports Madhya Pradesh’s renewable energy goals, contributing to its sustainability and clean energy transition.
