SECI Awards 1,000 MW RTC Thermal Mimic Power Tender To Seven Developers At Tariffs Starting INR 5.25/kWh

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has finalized the results of its 1,000 MW Round-the-Clock Thermal Mimic (RTC-TM) power tender, awarding the full capacity to seven successful bidders. The tender, issued in March 2026, is aimed at enhancing the supply of firm and dispatchable renewable energy that can closely mimic the reliability of conventional thermal power.

The discovered tariffs remained highly competitive, ranging from ₹5.25 per kWh to ₹5.26 per kWh. Most of the awarded capacity was secured at the lower tariff of ₹5.25 per kWh, reflecting strong competition among developers.

EMIF II Holding V II Coöperatief W.A. secured 100 MW at a tariff of ₹5.25 per kWh, while Hero Solar Energy Private Limited was awarded 120 MW at the same tariff. PURVAH GREEN POWER Private Limited, a CESC company, won 70 MW, and RESOLVEN FOUR ENERGY Private Limited secured 150 MW, both quoting ₹5.25 per kWh. KENGERI PRIME SOLAR POWER Private Limited emerged as one of the largest winners at this tariff, receiving an allocation of 180 MW.

At the slightly higher tariff of ₹5.26 per kWh, Hexa Climate Solutions Private Limited was awarded 150 MW. Juniper Green Energy Limited secured the largest share of the tender, winning 230 MW at ₹5.26 per kWh, making it the highest-capacity bidder in the auction even though they bid for 300 MW but received the remaining 230 MW under the bucket-filling method.

In total, all seven bidders successfully secured allocations under the 1 GW tender. The auction outcome highlights continued investor interest in India’s firm renewable energy market and demonstrates SECI’s efforts to procure reliable renewable power capable of supporting grid stability while advancing the country’s clean energy transition.
