NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Co. Ltd. (CSPGCL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop up to 2000 MW of renewable energy projects, including floating solar installations. The MoU was exchanged between Shri G. K. Gupta, Chief Engineer (CP & BD) of CSPGCL, and Shri D. Joshi, General Manager (Engineering) of NGEL, during a ceremony held in Raipur. The signing was attended by several dignitaries, including Shri S. K. Katiyar, Managing Director of CSPGCL, and Shri P. K. Mishra, Regional Executive Director (WR-II) of NTPC, along with other representatives from NGEL, NTPC, and CSPGCL.
The collaboration marks a significant step towards advancing renewable energy development in the region and is part of India’s ongoing efforts to boost clean energy production. The projects under this agreement will include both solar power generation and innovative floating solar technology, helping to meet the country’s growing energy needs while reducing carbon emissions.
