U-Solar Clean Energy Solutions has successfully commissioned an 8.5 MW group captive solar power plant for Aster DM Healthcare Limited in Kasargod, Kerala. The landmark project represents a major step forward in promoting sustainable energy use within the Indian healthcare sector.
Designed as a single-phase development, the solar facility employs advanced mono PERC technology and is expected to generate approximately 14.03 million units (kWh) of clean energy annually. This initiative is projected to offset nearly 11,590 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year, significantly reducing the environmental impact of Aster’s operations.
The group captive model chosen for this project allows Aster DM Healthcare—one of the region’s premier healthcare providers—to directly participate in solar energy production while gaining energy cost savings and long-term energy reliability. The plant enhances the organization’s sustainability profile and supports its broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives.
