Premier Energies Limited, one of India’s largest integrated solar manufacturers, has announced the launch of its advanced 620 W DCR solar modules featuring G12R TOPCon technology. These next-generation modules rank among the highest-output, large-format panels available in India, designed to deliver superior efficiency, higher power density, and reliable performance across diverse solar applications.

By introducing TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) architecture, the new G12R 620 W modules offer an improved temperature coefficient, enhanced low-light performance, and optimized system costs, making them suitable for utility-scale projects as well as commercial and industrial rooftops.

The rectangular G12R N-type cell format incorporated into these modules enables greater string power and better balance-of-system (BOS) optimization. This design innovation provides customers with higher energy yields, particularly in space-constrained environments, and makes installations more cost-efficient over their lifetime.

Chiranjeev Saluja, MD & CEO, Premier Energies, stated, “This launch represents a significant milestone in India’s transition to high-efficiency solar. This is the technology of the future. As one of the first few companies to bring 620 W DCR modules to market, we are offering a future-ready solution to help solar power investors and consumers in extracting more energy and value from every ray of the sun. These modules, compliant with India’s Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) regulations, go a long way in supporting the country’s solar power ambitions and Make in India policy.”

Key features of the G12R 620 W TOPCon modules include high energy output to maximize yield in rooftop and ground-mounted systems, next-generation TOPCon efficiency surpassing conventional PERC technology, an optimized rectangular format that reduces system costs, and robust durability designed to withstand India’s challenging climate conditions including heat, humidity, dust, and wind loads. Additionally, the higher power density translates into a lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE), ensuring better returns and long-term reliability.

As one of the first solar manufacturers in India to adopt this technology, Premier Energies continues to drive innovation, performance, and sustainability in solar energy. The introduction of the G12R 620 W TOPCon module marks an important step in the company’s product evolution, reinforcing its commitment to supporting India’s growing renewable energy capacity and promoting energy independence with cutting-edge solar solutions.
