NTPC Limited and the Government of Gujarat signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 9, 2025, during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held in Mehsana. The MoU seeks to explore collaboration opportunities across both conventional and non-conventional energy sectors.

The exchange took place in the presence of Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat; Shri Pralhad Joshi, Union Cabinet Minister for New & Renewable Energy; Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Minister for Finance, Energy and Petrochemicals, Government of Gujarat; Shri Gurdeep Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC; and other senior officials.

As India’s largest integrated power utility, NTPC currently contributes about one-fourth of the nation’s total power generation. The company has an installed capacity exceeding 83 GW, with 30.9 GW under construction—including 13.3 GW of renewable energy projects. NTPC aims to achieve 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032, supporting India’s commitment to its Net Zero targets.
