ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has appointed Mr Ayalur S Kumar as Chief Procurement Officer and Head of Supply Chain, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it advances its renewable energy growth strategy aimed at achieving 10 GW of operational contracted capacity by 2030.

In his new role, Kumar will be responsible for leading ACME Solar’s procurement and supply chain strategy, supporting the company’s expanding portfolio of renewable energy projects. His appointment comes as ACME Solar continues to scale operations across the solar and clean energy segments.

Kumar brings nearly 30 years of experience across procurement, supply chain strategy, operations, and logistics, spanning the renewable energy, electric vehicle infrastructure, biorefinery, and power sectors. He has over 15 years of senior leadership experience, with expertise in building and scaling procurement organizations, managing global supplier ecosystems, and optimizing supply chains that are globally aligned yet locally anchored.

His professional background includes leadership roles at Fortum, Škoda Power, ABB, and Alstom, where he was involved in high-technology component sourcing, supplier sustainability assessments, project insurance optimization, and technology transfer initiatives.

Kumar holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi.

ACME Solar said the appointment would support its efforts to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen supplier partnerships, and ensure resilient supply chains as it continues to expand its renewable energy footprint.
