SolarEdge Technologies, Inc., a global leader in smart energy solutions, has announced the appointment of Yoram Tietz and Gilad Almogy to its Board of Directors, effective January 6, 2025. Mr. Tietz will serve as the Chair of the Board’s Audit Committee, while Mr. Almogy will join the Technology Committee. Yoram Tietz is a Senior Advisor to General Atlantic, a global growth equity investment firm, where he provides strategic guidance and support for the company’s investments in Israel.

Before joining General Atlantic, Mr. Tietz spent 27 years at Ernst & Young (EY), including over 15 years as the Managing Partner of EY Israel. Prior to becoming Managing Partner, he led the High-Tech Cluster at EY Israel from 2000 to 2007, advising and mentoring numerous Israeli tech founders and CEOs. Mr. Tietz is the Chairman of the Friends of Sheba Medical Center and plays a key role in advising Sheba’s management on innovation and transformation. Under his leadership, Cogenra deployed gigawatts of solar power worldwide and was later acquired by SunPower in 2015.

Avery More, Chairman of the Board, stated, “We are pleased to welcome both Yoram Tietz and Gilad Almogy to our Board of Directors. The addition of seasoned executives serves to strengthen our Board, and we look forward to benefitting from both Gilad and Yoram’s insights as we shape our financial and strategic objectives.
