NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited bids for setting up a 7 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project for National Aluminium Company Limited in Odisha. The project will cover NALCO’s key facilities located in Angul and Damanjodi. It includes complete design, engineering, equipment supply, civil construction, testing, and commissioning of the rooftop systems. After installation, the selected bidder must provide five years of operation and maintenance services. The systems are required to maintain a minimum capacity utilization factor of 17 percent to ensure consistent performance.

The tender specifies important financial requirements for all participants. A bid security amount of fifty lakh rupees must be submitted as an earnest money deposit. After the contract is awarded, the contractor must provide a performance bank guarantee equal to ten percent of the total value within twenty-eight days. There is also a requirement for an additional performance guarantee amounting to ten percent of the O&M contract price.

Key dates related to the project have been shared in the tender notice. The tender was issued on December 25, 2024. The last date for bid submission is February 2, 2026, and the bid opening is scheduled for February 3, 2026. The project must be completed within nine months from the date the work order is issued.

Participation in this bidding process is limited to NVVN-enlisted suppliers and local suppliers classified under Class-I and Class-II categories. These suppliers must meet mandatory local content requirements of fifty percent for Class-I and twenty percent for Class-II. All interested bidders must conduct site surveys at both Angul and Damanjodi before submitting their proposals.
