Growatt Case Study: Transforming Industrial Energy Use for MNR Cottons and Sri Raj Tubes

In an era where sustainability and cost efficiency are top priorities for industries, two companies in Telangana, India, MNR Cottons Limited and Sri Raj Tubes Pvt Ltd, have made significant strides by integrating solar energy into their operations. Both companies, which operate energy-intensive manufacturing facilities, turned to Growatt’s advanced solar inverters to optimize their energy use, reduce electricity costs, and minimize their carbon footprints.

MNR Cottons, based in Mahabubnagar, produces 100% cotton yarn, while Sri Raj Tubes, located in Hyderabad, specializes in manufacturing MS Strips and ERW Pipes. Both companies faced high energy consumption due to their industrial operations, leading to rising electricity costs and increased reliance on the grid. They needed a sustainable, cost-effective solution that would not only cut expenses but also contribute to their environmental goals.

In response to these challenges, both companies chose to install rooftop solar systems—MNR Cottons with a 1 MW system and Sri Raj Tubes with a 1.2 MW system. The selection of Growatt’s MAC 60KTL3-X LV and MAX 100-125KTL3-X LV series inverters played a pivotal role in the success of these projects. Known for their high efficiency, reliability, and smart energy optimization features, Growatt inverters ensured that both systems would operate at peak performance, efficiently converting solar energy into usable electricity to meet the companies’ demands.

The solar installations were expertly executed by Suntek Energy Systems Pvt Ltd, who ensured seamless integration of the systems with minimal disruption to daily operations. As a result, both MNR Cottons and Sri Raj Tubes have experienced substantial reductions in grid dependency, which has led to lower electricity costs. Additionally, the transition to solar energy has not only allowed them to significantly reduce their carbon emissions, but also set a strong example for others in the industry to follow.
