Compressed air and vacuum solutions company Atlas Copco Group has expanded its North American footprint with two acquisitions in the US and Canada.
In Ontario, Canada, Atlas Copco has acquired compressed air distributor Trident Compressed Air (Trident).
Now part of the service division within Atlas Copco’s compressor technique business area, Trident specialises in the sale and service of air compressors.
In the US, Atlas Copco has acquired Salt Lake City-based vacuum and leak testing system manufacturer LACO Technologies (LACO).
LACO will become part of the scientific vacuum division within the vacuum technique business area, serving its customer base across the aerospace, research and development, and industrial fields.
In 2025, LACO had revenues of around 247m kr ($25m).
With the acquisitions, almost 120 new employees will join Atlas Copco, 110 from LACO and eight from Trident.
The purchase price for either deal was not disclosed.
