The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet has appointed Tanya Singhal to lead its India clean energy expansion. The appointment is expected to support the organisation’s work in accelerating energy access, renewable deployment, and climate-focused partnerships across the country’s fast-growing clean power ecosystem.

Adani Green Energy has incorporated two new step-down subsidiaries through Adani Renewable Energy Sixty Four Ltd. The newly formed companies will focus on renewable power generation in India. The move supports AGEL’s strategy of creating dedicated project entities for clean energy development, financing, and execution.

SECI has invited expressions of interest from scheduled commercial banks for opening current accounts with auto-flexi deposit facilities. Eligible banks must meet net worth criteria and operate a New Delhi branch. The facility will help SECI manage surplus funds more efficiently through automatic transfer into flexi deposits.

Solex Energy has signed an MoU with the Gujarat government to establish a 5 GW solar cell and 10 GW BESS manufacturing project. The proposed ₹4,000 crore investment will be developed in phases and is expected to boost domestic clean-tech manufacturing, employment, and India’s renewable energy supply chain.

A new report says India’s state-owned energy firms can accelerate the clean energy transition through strategic capital reallocation. The analysis highlights the need to redirect investments toward renewables, grid modernization, and emerging low-carbon technologies, helping public sector companies align with India’s long-term decarbonisation and energy security goals.

NTPC Green Energy has invited bids for a 130 MVAR Static Var Generator package at its 240 MW Devikot Solar PV project in Rajasthan. The scope includes supply, installation, testing, commissioning, system integration, civil works, warranties, and spares to strengthen reactive power compensation and grid stability.

NTPC has invited bids to appoint a DPR consultant for a captive jetty linked to NGEL’s Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka. The assignment includes technical studies, feasibility assessment, pipeline corridor planning, and support for regulatory clearances, making it a key step for future green hydrogen logistics.

Deendayal Port Authority has floated a ₹71.70 crore tender for road connectivity to proposed green hydrogen plots at Old Kandla. The project includes approach road construction and culvert works to support green hydrogen infrastructure under Phase I, with completion targeted within 12 months.

The West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved CESC’s long-term procurement of 600 MW wind-solar hybrid power. The approval follows a competitive bidding process managed by PFC Consulting and supports CESC’s renewable purchase obligations while strengthening the utility’s clean energy portfolio at competitive tariffs.

Gujarat has approved the Standard Operating Procedure for implementing GIREP-2025. The framework simplifies processes for renewable energy developers by covering registration, approvals, grid connectivity, and commissioning. It applies to solar, wind, hybrid, floating solar, rooftop solar, and standalone BESS projects.
