Pace Digitek Limited has secured Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) supply, erection, and long-term operation and maintenance contracts from Damodar Valley Corporation for a major energy storage project at Maithon. The total value of the contracts stands at ₹7,020 million, including GST, marking a significant milestone for the company in the growing energy storage sector.

The project involves the implementation of a 250 MW/500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System in Jharkhand. The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing-linked supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and a comprehensive 12-year operation and maintenance service. The company will also execute associated civil, structural, and evacuation infrastructure works as part of the contract.

The contracts are divided into supply, EPC services, and long-term O&M agreements. Pace Digitek will complete the supply and EPC execution within 18 months, followed by 12 years of maintenance and operational support. The order is expected to strengthen the company’s position in the utility-scale energy storage market and enhance its presence in renewable energy-linked projects.

This is the company’s first BESS order win for FY2027 and follows strong momentum achieved during FY2026. During the previous financial year, Pace Digitek reported energy order inflows worth ₹58,147 million, driven mainly by increasing opportunities in battery energy storage systems and renewable energy integration projects.

The company stated that the order demonstrates its ability to execute projects across the complete BESS value chain, including manufacturing, EPC execution, and lifecycle management services. Its manufacturing-led execution model combines in-house capacity with a secured project pipeline, helping the company maintain better control over costs, timelines, and quality standards while supporting large-scale deployments.

Chairman and Managing Director Venugopal Rao Maddisetty said the order from DVC strengthens the company’s position in utility-scale energy storage and reflects the strength of its integrated business model. He added that energy storage is becoming increasingly important for renewable energy integration, and the company is focused on expanding its manufacturing-led platform to ensure efficient execution, cost control, and long-term asset performance.

With multiple recent project wins from leading utilities, Pace Digitek continues to expand its BESS portfolio. Following this latest order, the company’s total BESS project portfolio has crossed 5 GWh, covering utility-scale storage, renewable integration, and grid support applications.
