Compressed air and vacuum solutions company Atlas Copco has acquired Lusoar, a compressor distributor with more than 1,500 domestic compressed air production and treatment installations across Portugal.
Based in Porto, Portugal, Lusoar provides air compressors, air treatment, compressed air installations, and related services.
The company is also the exclusive distributor of UK-based compressed air solutions manufacturer Worthington Creyssensac’s compressors and air treatment dryers.
Philippe Ernens, Business Area President of Compressor Technique, said the acquisition increases the company’s Portuguese footprint to support regional customers.
As part of the acquisition, nine Lusoar employees will join Atlas Copco. Lusoar will become part of the service division within Atlas Copco’s compressor technique business area.
The acquisition builds on earlier compressor technique business acquisitions made in and of this year.
