Canadian Solar Inc. has appointed Dylan Marx as the Chief Executive Officer of Recurrent Energy, its global project development subsidiary, following the departure of Ismael Guerrero from the role.
The leadership change takes effect immediately. Guerrero will continue to support the company in a non-executive advisory capacity until December 31, 2026, to facilitate a smooth transition.
As part of the move, Marx has stepped down as Chief Operating Officer of Canadian Solar to focus on leading Recurrent Energy.
Marx brings extensive knowledge of Recurrent Energy’s global operations and has played a key role in overseeing the company’s operational performance. Canadian Solar said his experience and leadership will support the subsidiary’s next phase of growth.
Commenting on the appointment, Colin Parkin, Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Solar, said the company remains committed to supporting Recurrent Energy and creating long-term value for its partners and stakeholders. He added that Marx’s deep understanding of the business, global perspective, and operational expertise make him well-positioned to lead the subsidiary, while thanking Guerrero for his contributions to the company.
