Trina Storage Ranked Among Global Top 5 BESS Integrators in Wood Mackenzie 2026 Report

Trina Storage has been ranked among the world’s Top 5 battery energy storage system (BESS) integrators and awarded Grade A BESS Integrator status in Wood Mackenzie’s Global Battery Energy Storage System Integrator Comprehensive Ranking 2026, underscoring the company’s position in the global utility-scale energy storage market.

The annual report by energy research and consultancy firm Wood Mackenzie evaluates BESS integrators based on manufacturing experience, vertical integration, research and development capabilities, supply chain resilience, technology maturity, financial strength, safety performance, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments.

According to the report, Trina Storage’s ranking reflects its expanding Cell-to-AC integration capabilities and growing global project delivery portfolio. The company integrates battery technology, AC-side conversion, and system integration into a unified solution designed to improve system performance, streamline project execution, and enhance long-term operational value.

Trina Storage said continued investment in research and development has strengthened its technology portfolio. Its advanced AC validation platform enables testing of storage systems under real-world operating conditions, including grid interaction, environmental performance, system integration, and energy management system (EMS) validation before deployment.

The company also cited its global certifications, supply chain capabilities, and ESG initiatives as factors supporting its competitiveness in international energy storage markets.

Commenting on the recognition, Yang Bao, President of the Energy Storage Division at Trinasolar, said the ranking reflects the company’s technology capabilities, execution expertise, and commitment to delivering reliable energy storage solutions as global deployment of battery storage continues to accelerate.

Trina Storage also highlighted its recently announced Gamma project, where it is supplying a fully integrated DC and AC energy storage solution featuring its Elementa and Electra platforms, demonstrating its ability to deliver integrated battery storage systems while reducing project complexity for customers.

The company said it will continue to focus on advancing energy storage technologies and supporting customers with scalable and bankable battery energy storage solutions as the global energy transition gathers pace.
