Florida-based gas detection specialist CO2Meter is celebrating 20 years of business, marking two decades of changes in gas detection technology, regulation, and the needs of its customers.
Founded in 2006, the company began with a focus on gas sensing and has since expanded into areas including gas safety, monitoring and analytics, fixed monitoring and multi-gas detection.
CO2Meter’s work in the beverage and brewery sectors grew following the introduction of a remote carbon dioxide (CO2) safety alarm in 2013, and the company remains a CO2 specialist today.
It manufactured its first CO2 monitor in 2008 and has since expanded its product range to meet market demand.
With this, the company has subsequently become more involved in applications across restaurants, breweries and beverage gas operations.
Its portfolio now includes more than 250 gas sensor solutions used across medical, indoor agriculture, indoor air quality, fire suppression, food and beverage markets.
Over the past 20 years, CO2Meter has worked with gas distributors, beverage gas suppliers, equipment manufacturers, installers and end users.
The company says those relationships have helped shape the development of its products and services as the industry has evolved.
The company enters its third decade with those changes likely to continue, particularly as gas safety, monitoring and connected technologies become increasingly relevant across commercial and industrial applications.
