Operational performance improved during the quarter, with total net power generation increasing by 17% YoY to 17,504 million units (MUs). Electricity sales under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) grew by 22% to 16.4 billion units (BUs), supported by capacity additions and improved plant load factors.
JSW Energy’s renewable energy generation increased by 21% YoY to 8.6 BUs, while thermal power generation rose by 13% to 8.9 BUs. These figures highlight the contribution of both renewable and conventional power assets to the company’s overall generation performance.

The performance came amid strong electricity demand across India. All-India power demand increased by 11.1% YoY to 499 BUs in Q2 FY27, driven by persistent heat and humidity, along with rising irrigation requirements. Peak power demand reached 270 GW during the quarter, creating a supportive environment for power producers.
