gasworld has named the finalists of the GWGI Awards 2026, with winners set to be announced at the Global Industrial Gas Conference in Budapest on 2 December 2026.
Following a review of this year’s award submissions, we have taken the decision to consolidate a number of categories to better reflect the volume and range of entries received.
This adjustment will help ensure a fair, balanced and meaningful judging process, while maintaining the credibility and prestige of the awards.
All submissions continue to be considered on their individual merits, ensuring that outstanding achievements are recognised and celebrated across the industry.

The GWGI Awards to platform industrial gas innovation and excellence.
Rob Cockerill, Global Content Director for gasworld and Chair of the GWGI Award Judges, reflected, “The 2026 finalists capture many of the defining themes shaping the industrial and specialty gases sector this year, from supply chain security and digitisation to decarbonisation and the rising demand for ultra-high purity gases.
“What stands out is the practical nature of much of this innovation, with companies looking to make gas production, distribution and applications more efficient, resilient and sustainable, while visibly supporting the growth in advanced manufacturing, healthcare and emerging energy technologies.
“Innovation is so healthy across the industry that not only is our job as judges that much harder each year, but we also know that the industry and its users are in good hands.”
