Stryten Energy To Scale Up U.S. Energy Storage With Massive 10 GW Manufacturing Capacity

Stryten Energy LLC, a U.S.-based energy storage company, has announced a major plan to expand its domestic manufacturing capacity to 24 gigawatts. This expansion aims to boost American energy security by increasing battery production across its 11 U.S. plants, which employ over 2,500 workers. These facilities manufacture batteries for various applications, including military, government, data centers, grid storage, automotive, and material handling. The investment is backed by advanced manufacturing tax credits, helping accelerate growth and strengthen the domestic industrial sector.

With rising energy demands, reliable battery solutions are essential. Stryten is leading the way with advanced lead, lithium, and vanadium redox flow battery technologies. Its manufacturing plants in Kansas, Georgia, Iowa, Virginia, and Arkansas will expand production, creating hundreds of high-paying jobs and boosting local economies.

Stryten also operates a vertically integrated supply chain, ensuring a steady U.S. supply of battery components. Its plants in Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin produce critical materials for battery manufacturing. The company is further investing in recycling plastic from spent batteries, supporting sustainability and the circular economy by using recycled materials for new batteries in automobiles, forklifts, and locomotives.

In addition, Stryten has opened a lithium battery assembly plant in Georgia to meet military and industrial needs with its proprietary lithium module technology. It is also collaborating with Dragonfly Energy, a Nevada-based company, to develop advanced lithium batteries for the automotive aftermarket and battery distributors.

Mike Judd, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stryten Energy, said in a statement, “Stryten Energy is committed to growing its domestic energy storage capacity to serve the needs of our customers and partners in the United States. The path to American energy security can and must rely upon domestic companies like Stryten, who manufacture batteries that keep supply chains running and critical infrastructure supplied with the backup power required to keep their operations running smoothly. Our investments to significantly increase the gigawatt capacity across our footprint will help to support the growing energy demand and achieve our nation’s goal of true energy resilience.”

Recently, Stryten launched Storion Energy LLC, through its affiliate Stryten Critical E-Storage LLC, in partnership with Largo Inc. and Largo Clean Energy Corp. Storion Energy aims to make it easier for battery manufacturers in the U.S. to access cost-effective electrolytes for vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFB), supporting long-duration energy storage (LDES) solutions. This expansion strengthens U.S. energy security, creates jobs, and supports sustainable battery production for the future.
